Can Be Monitored Although Disabled, Google Update Location History Features

ncsurety.com - After the last update Google can still change the user's last location, even though they have used the Location History feature, which is the technology used for these things.

"This setting will not change your services on your device such as Google Location Services and Find My Devices," explained Google Management, quoted from TechCrunch, Saturday, August 18, 2018.

They send some location data that can be used as part of user processes such as Google Search and Google Maps. However, when a user turns off Location History on his Google account, the location will open for all devices connected to that account.

Initially, Google denied the news that they could still get the user's location, even though it was off. However, they finally added a 'language of clarification'.

They claim that the Location History feature can be controlled by the user including editing, deleting, or turning off. Google also ensures that all users know that the feature remains in use.

"We continue to use Location History to improve experience when users search like Google Search or directions," Google management said.

Not only that, Google claims to have changed the language to offer more insight into further highlights. "We have added the language in Location History to be more thorough and clear across platforms and help our center," Google said.
