Scientists Find Stronger Mattress Lice

http://diallink.net - Recently, the United Kingdom reportedly had bedbugs, due to a brutal increase in temperature. As reported by Fox News, August 20, 2018, scientists suspect that during high temperatures, the insect reproduction cycle becomes shorter, from 18-21 days to 8-9 days.

"The problem has spread globally since the late 1990s, and there really is no country on this planet that has no bed bug problems," said David Cain, of Bed Bugs Limited, a bed bug exterminator, to British newspapers.

Reluctance to seek help because of the social stigma of bed bugs contributing to this problem. People feel embarrassed if they find bed bugs.

In addition, many people do not experience physical reactions, so they are not aware of the presence of fleas in their homes.

Bed bugs are parasitic insects that eat blood and tend to be most active at night. These insect bites can cause skin rashes and allergy symptoms, and have psychological effects.

Tony Lewis, head of policy at the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, said that continuous bed bug attacks in the UK were worse in the summer due to higher temperatures. People also returned from their holidays with lice attached to the hotel where they stayed.

"Even though they live in five-star hotels or bleak jasmine-class hotels, the possibility of facing bed bugs remains the same," he said.

Although bed bugs in the UK have been around for 100 years, the population is largely eradicated by the use of insecticides. Worse, now they have developed resistance to chemical attacks.

"This insect has developed into the most efficient and adaptive human hunter we have ever met," Cain said.

"If people are afraid of sharks, the way to avoid them is to stay outside the water. Well, if you're afraid of bed bugs, the answer is to stay alert, "he added.

A woman in London has an acute itching for a month. He constantly scratched his arms and legs, before finally seeking professional help.

"I woke up every morning with bites that I thought were from mosquitoes, said my girlfriend from bedbugs," the woman told the Guardian.

When he finally lifted his mattress and found a handful of crawling insects, he cried hysterically. "I am really disgusted and panicked," he said.

The woman is now undergoing a 14-day eradication and monitoring program, including washing sheets and clothes at 60 degrees, and keeping the bedroom clean.

Insects have been found in hotels around the world, including high-end places such as the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. Air India had to land two planes in July after passengers reported being covered in horrible insect bites after their flight.
